A ground-up construction rear addition was developed for a new fitness center, taking into account the need to seamlessly blend with the existing structure while adding a contemporary touch. As this building is situated within a Landmarks District, the design was carefully executed to ensure compliance with the historical preservation guidelines. The fitness center's requirements were addressed by allocating sufficient space for exercise equipment and other amenities, while also prioritizing proper ventilation, lighting, and acoustics to create a comfortable and functional environment for users.
