Building Envelope Restoration
Metal Deck Roof Replacement, Interior Lighting & HVAC Upgrade
Queens, NY
This project involved the removal of a deteriorated 60,000 SF roofing system and concrete planks. These were replaced with new acoustical metal decking and a PVC roofing system. Additionally, all other existing lower roof systems were replaced with a liquid fleece-reinforcement roofing system.
The HVAC equipment throughout the building was also replaced and integrated with the new roofing systems. The project included the replacement of all gymnasium interior high-bay lighting fixtures and the installation of a new NCAA regulated basketball court broadcasting lighting system.
To minimize disruption, the project was completed in two phases, allowing partial use of the building during construction. The management of the entire project was successfully carried out in collaboration with AECOM, ensuring efficient coordination and a successful outcome.
